Brick Facing

Primars uses a number of systems and techniques in the skilled trade of refacing damaged and broken bricks. This semi-detached Victorian house in Willsdon is a good example of the art. The existing building had not only deteriorated to such an extent that 60% of the brick face had delaminated, but it had also been painted.

Following chemical paint removal, the damaged bricks were ground back to a solid surface capable of taking new facing material. A specialist facing material was applied and troweled to form the new face of the brick. The brick was then stained using a permanent brick stain, prior to being repointed.
